When Markus was younger, his parents were always busy with work, often leaving him in the hands of maids, butlers, nannies, baby sitters, and people who were paid to keep an eye on the rambunctious Harrison boy. Markus hardly made it easy for his sitters and care takers, and made sure that they worked to get those lovely checks his parents paid them to watch their ‘little angel’. When Markus grew bored of his care takers, he’d begin to come up with stories, or over exaggerate scenarios that would result in his care taker to be fired. It was a great way to get attention from his parents, and to get rid of another boring fool who entered his life just to get money. One day, though, Markus wound up with a baby sitter who made it very clear that they thoroughly believed in old fashion punishments. Spankings, slaps, and harsh tough love to teach a child their lesson, and it didn’t take long for Markus to want this old woman gone. She was hardly gentle, and was very strict with him, seeing as he was going to eventually inherit his parents’ companies, she wanted him to become a perfect little gentleman. Markus wouldn’t have it, though, and told his parents what the woman did to him after he just ‘accidentally broke a vase’. His parents, figuring their son was just telling another tale as they’d caught on over the course of various sitters, agreed to look for a replacement and would fire the current sitter the moment they found the replacement. The search for a replacement was never prioritized, though, and for a long time, Markus dealt with this violent care taker. He’d air complaints constantly, but his parents shrugged them off, and the rest of the staff felt the little devil that was Markus deserved the punishments they witnessed. It only got worse when his power started to develop. Items would feel heavier in his arms, and he’d become more prone to falling and breaking things, which only would make the old woman angry and accuse him of doing it all on purpose, or specifying he’d need to be more graceful. Shortly after his power started developing, Markus decided to make a change, and began to use the old woman to practice his lying and acting. He started to pretend to go along with her insisting and orders, and then proceed to misbehave when she’d turn away. He got pretty good, and after a while, the woman became more lenient with him, and Markus had more time to practice his gift in private. When he turned fourteen, he finally convinced his parents he was too old to have a sitter, and they fired the old woman. After the old woman was gone, Markus, who was originally homeschooled by his care takers, was put into a private school. He quickly fell in with the wrong crowd, and started to do more than just breaking vases. Convincing his classmates to do the dumbest things, break rules, and even more, Markus was hardly ever accused of what he was doing, since he would always behave so well in front of teachers. He’d get his own hands dirty, and if he ever got caught, his smooth talking usually got him out of trouble. He loved the attention his peers gave him, and by the time he was about to graduate high school, Markus felt somewhat like he was the king of the world. With his power, too, his classmates hardly ever tried to mess with him, so he hardly ever bothered to watch his back. He was well aware of sex, alcohol, and drugs, and would even volunteer to do ‘favors’ for others for a bit of payment when his “allowance” would run out. Even after he graduated from school, Markus was still into the trouble making life style, and was hardly fit to take over his parents’ company. It didn’t take long for his parents to find this out with Markus now having more free time. It wasn’t until about the tenth time Markus was taken home by police, or they had to go pick him up from the police station that his parents got tired of dealing with the mess they created. Finally, Markus was kicked out of his home after he brought home a boyfriend, and they practically cut him off from their money. He’d occasionally find funds from his parents in his bank account, but that was usually only once a month and for rent in the apartment they had sent him to move into. Without parents to worry about, Markus resumed his criminal like behavior, and only got even more corrupted over time. He dwelled deeper and deeper into the night life, crossing into gangs and sex trades. With the influence of his life style, and Markus’s previous personality, he’d only gotten worst. More manipulative, selfish, and deceiving. It would take a rather special kind of person to make Markus change his ways at this point. But, it’d be easier to find someone who could guide a boy with the potential to be a great villain to become all that he could be and more. With no former training, or anyone to teach him his power works, Markus has had to figure out how to work it all by himself, which results in him being rather inexperienced. He can increase, or decrease, the pull of gravity within only a twenty foot radius. The most he can decrease the gravity is to make a jump that'd usually only be a foot up into the air, become a seven foot leap. The most he can increase the gravity is to make just the task of raising someone's hand becomes difficult. The closer a person or item is to him, the more powerful the effect of the change in gravity is.
